Verbal Assault has traditionally been a night of “anything goes”–from poetry to sketch comedy and everything in between. With a new host, madman Brian Wentz, we have twisted our twisted night of verbalocity, just a bit more. Oh, and we even threw in a bit of sexy.
Each week, we invite the brave and voyeuristic to embrace our new, weekly themes for a chance to win a prize, be entertained and most importantly, have a crazy good time not possible anyplace else in NOVA.
Verbal Assault Themes & Schemes Schedule:
June 18th: Act Up People! Its a night of one act plays. Act an existing one out or write your own and perform it tonight. We will have play writing jams on Sundays at 11am beginning May 22nd! Come put together some play action with other people preparing to Act Up. Best One Act original and Best One Act performance will be awarded!! Click Here to Sign Up
June 25th: Dr. Sketchy’s drawing party featuring Jasper Hyjynx. No Verbal Assault Performances

July 9th: Dr. Sketchy’s DC drawing party. No Verbal Assault performances
July 16th: QUIET PARTY: Party in silence! Verbal Assault has been sentenced to “Silentary Confinement”! What are we to do?!? Use movement, body language, dance, facial expressions, chalk, paper and the GIANT Whiteboard to express yourself and a party will ensue. Once you cross the threshold of silence, not a sound you will make, but you will be heard. Most creative communicator will be awarded an awesome prize.

July 30th: Improper Improv! The Improper Imps of Improv are bringing their fun and games to Verbal Assault. Will they be naughty? Maybe.

I have a question, how old do you have to be to do the open mic night. I’m looking for a place to do comedy because i am a aspiring comedian looking for a place to do stand up.

We are an all ages venue. We just like to let people know that Verbal Assault is uncensored and we tend to get a some “adult” content on stage. You are welcome to come and perform on Friday nights for Verbal Assault. Also, we have a Comedy Open mic on Wednesdays that starts the first week in March.
