Up to this point in his life, with degrees in clinical psychology and religious studies, after a short period living in India studying the combination of meditation and psychotherapy, and then another period applying this research in revolutionary treatment programs for the severely mentally ill, David Kirshbaum actually ended up spending most of his life working in politics with both government whistleblowers in environmental agencies as well as the Jewish anti-Zionism movement, and then one fine summer day in 2008 he found the Soundry.

Since finding the Soundry, he has found some way to extract time from his life to revive a childhood interest in art – in drawing and painting.  He has always had an interest in Sci-fi/fantasy/horror art and movies to help inspire him in his work battling real-world evil both internal and external, and now with the Soundry, he has found a supportive art community in his efforts to explore creating such artwork himself.
