Kenya Smith was born in 1974 in San Diego, California. In 1998, she received her BFA in Painting at Howard University. Kenya has been included in various important exhibitions, including the solo show “A Stirring Among the Remnants” at Adelphi University, Garden City, New York and the Adelphi University Painting Invitational. She has also shown work in “Ofrenda – Art for the Dead” at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia. Kenya lives and works in Oak Hill, Virginia.
