Call for Entries!

Dreams are a common link to our subconscious desires, fears and can even act as a source of inspiration. In this art show, we are looking for artwork that represents a dream-like state of mind. Work that captures that surreal environment we all encounter when we close our eyes.

This show is co-produced by The Soundry and Epicure Cafe. Epicure Cafe is a community cafe that supports local art and music.

Submission fee is $25 if accepted into the show. Please complete the SUBMISSION FORM for more information about being in the show.

Maurice Gaye (born in Los Angeles, California on January 24,1987) better known by his stage name Moeazy, is an American recording artist, co-owner of City Limits Entertainment LLC (C.L.E) from N.W. Washington, D.C. (currently unsigned). He is best known for his mixtape series “Beautiful Struggle” which he releases independently in quarterly increments (every 3-4 months).

Tim & Jelly are fattened up from Thanksgiving and are ready to stuff this turkey of a show full of  rich, buttery goodness. That’s right, All this show needs is butter!  We got plenty of salt.

This week’s guest is Giovanni Diviacchi aka MC Slimm Slappy!  He is a stand up comic, Harold performer and author of several books on comedy.

Drawing upon my background as an Italian-American with a background in Anthropology, Mortgage Finance, and Business Rules, I present my jokes and witty one-liners in a format that will make you think and laugh at the same time. You will find yourself using my one-liners time and time again, sharing them with your family, friends, and business colleagues, bringing smiles to any social gathering or business presentation that you wish to use them at.

Beatniks & Butterflies is a Soundry Production hosted by local madman poet, Paul Fauteux.  This is a gathering for writers of all genres/levels and the people who enjoy being around them. Each week includes featured authors, interactive writing exercises, an open mic-aroni, drinking, MADgination and group story telling.

Epicure Cafe is a community cafe that supports the arts. They also serve delicious food, beer and wine. So while we write and laugh and listen and tell stories, we nibble and sip and go on a little adventure together.

This is an open mic specifically for local writers of all genres and story tellers. Everyone is encouraged to bring and share original work at this intimate community cafe in Fairfax. We will be engaging the audience by including their friendly comments and feedback throughout the evening.

Published authors are encouraged to bring copies of their work to sign and sell.
