What is The Soundry?
The Soundry can be described as a “gym” for artists and musicians. The Soundry is a shared space for artists of all levels, disciplines and backgrounds. By sharing this open space, artists can learn, network, grow, and be inspired by other creative souls.
How much rehearsal time do I get as a member?
Our band and individual musician members get 3 reserved hours per week. Unlike non-members who can not book more than 7 days in advance, member can book time 4 weeks in advance and hold a regular slot on the schedule.
What if I need more than 3 hours per week?
No problem! Additional time is booked at $10 per hour.
Can I store my gear?
No, you can not store your gear, but we do provide good quality gear in the rehearsal room.
Can I sell my CDs at The Soundry?
Yes again! This is another benefit of your membership. You set the price, and The Soundry will handle all sales for you and takes 20% of sales.
Can I check my email at The Soundry?
Absolutely! The Soundry has free wi-fi throughout the building so just bring your laptop.
Is there anything to eat or drink at The Soundry?
Yes! The Soundry has a unique café on site serving exotic teas, amazing espresso drinks, Italian Sodas, frappes & snacks. As a member, you can run a tab in the café. A menu is in the rehearsal room and you can call the café to place an order.
Is The Soundry a performance venue?
No, we are not a performance venue. However, we do have a variety of events such as open mic, verbal assault, blue grass jams, jazz jams, CD release parties, acoustic showcases, open jams and more!
Are there any strict rules?
Of course, but they are reasonable. There is absolutely no smoking, drinking, or drug use allowed. We have a zero tolerance policy. Any room or equipment damages will be the responsibility of the person who signed the Membership or Rental Agreement. The room is closely inspected after each session.
Can I rent space by the hour instead of becoming a monthly member?
Yes! We rent out our rehearsal room by the hour at just $20 per hour. As a non-member, you will sign a Rental Agreement and keep a credit card on file. You can book the room no more than 7 days in advance. Our members get first dibs on rehearsal times.
How much is Membership?
Membership is $200 per month and includes 3 hours of rehearsal time per week. Any additional time is booked at the member rate of just $10 per hour!
How Do I become a member?
All you do is complete a Membership Agreement that is similar to a gym membership agreement. We keep a credit card (Visa, MC or Discover) on file for all our members and process it on the first day of each month. We can email you the Membership Agreement or you can fill one out in person at The Soundry.
